Access & verification
What is Protein Link?
Protein Link is Australia's private B2B wholesale protein marketplace. Verified suppliers list stock across beef, lamb, pork, chicken, seafood and specialty proteins, and approved buyers order it with one structured landed price — instead of trading over phone calls, texts and spreadsheets.
Who can join Protein Link?
Australian businesses in the protein supply chain — processors, wholesalers, distributors, cold stores, foodservice groups, pet food manufacturers, exporters and brokers. Protein Link is strictly business-to-business; it is not open to consumers.
How does verification work?
Our team reviews your business details, including your ABN and trading profile. Most applicants hear back within two business days.
Does it cost anything to join?
No. Requesting access and verification are free, and there's no subscription required to get started. The platform's margin is built into the landed price buyers see.
Can I be both a supplier and a buyer?
Yes. Select "Both" when you request access and we'll set up your account for both sides of the market.
Products & listings
What products are traded?
Beef, lamb, pork, chicken and poultry, seafood and smallgoods, in chilled and frozen formats. Kangaroo, game, offal and pet food inputs are traded by arrangement.
How are listings structured?
Every listing carries the same format: product type, specification, storage state, pack format, volume and a landed price — so buyers can compare stock consistently.
Can I list short-dated or excess stock?
Yes. The platform is built for quick release of excess and short-dated stock to approved buyers, with visibility controls that protect your existing customer relationships.
Pricing & payment
How does pricing work?
Suppliers set their base price. The platform applies its margin and freight context to present one landed price per kg, ex GST. Supplier base pricing is never shown to buyers. All pricing is indicative until an order is confirmed.
How is payment handled?
Orders are paid through the platform's payment workflow. That reduces counterparty risk on both sides and produces clean documentation for every order.
Can I get credit terms?
Approved buyers can apply for 7, 14 or 30-day terms via the credit application. Applications are assessed individually, including trade references.
Freight & fulfilment
Who handles freight?
The platform coordinates delivery and reflects freight context in landed prices. Delivery arrangements are confirmed per order.
How is cold chain managed?
Every listing specifies its storage state — chilled or frozen — and fulfilment is coordinated accordingly. Suppliers remain responsible for product quality.
Where do you deliver?
Protein Link serves the Australian wholesale trade. Delivery options are confirmed per order based on origin, destination and storage requirements.
